Dr. Conte spent 16 years as a bedside pediatric nurse with 10 years as a staff nurse on the oncology and bone marrow transplant units at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. She has practiced as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ area. Dr. Conte serves as one of the Safe Zone trainers for the University.  She is actively involved with the Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses and serves as a reviewer for the Journal of Pediatric Oncology. Dr. Conte’s research areas of interest include self-care and resilience practices for nurses, stress management among nurses, and the experiences of young adult cancer survivors.  She has developed programs for nurses that focus on their own self-care and stress management and has been an invited speaker on resilience throughout the United States and Canada. She has been named Teacher of the Year at ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ in 2020. Dr. Conte was named a Fellow of the Association of Pediatric Hematology Oncology Nurses (FAPHON) which recognizes leadership and an individual's impact on the pediatric oncology profession on a national and international level.
