ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½

From Mara Castellano

Alumnus/a '07 G'14
Father Pilarz was a pillar of leadership, love, and passion at the ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½. I was blessed enough to learn from his example at a pivot point in my own life. While I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing, as I’m sure the rest of the university of ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ alumni community is, I take solace in knowing his long fought struggle with ALS is at an end. I know he is resting now, and forever at peace. I am, and will always be, grateful for him and the light he shone on the entire university community. I will hold dear his parting words to my graduating class for all the days of my life. 💜💜

"There are no friendships like ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ friendships, because ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ friendships don’t stop. That’s the surest sign of God’s grace active among us. Take that special ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ grace out into the world and, as St. Ignatius urges, “…set the world on fire.” Do that and your ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ education, your ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ friendships, and, yes, your ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½ parties, will not stop. God bless the class of 2007, God bless Catholic and Jesuit education, and God bless The ÃÛÌÒ´«Ã½.""
